Aion at Comic-Con! gamescom and PAX
Don’t miss your chance to meet the Aion team and check out the NCsoft booth at this summer’s hottest events. Aion is going on the road and will be at the San Diego Comic-Con, gamescom in Cologne, and the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) in Seattle this summer!
First on our itinerary is the San Diego Comic-Con, July 22-26 at the San Diego Convention Center. Swing by Booth #5005 to experience the thrill of flight in Aion and chat with members of the Aion staff, including Producer Brian Knox, Associate Producer Lani Blazier, and Community Manager Sebastian Streiffert. You might even score some of our great giveaways that include beta keys, t-shirts, and an exclusive poster by Hyungjun Kim!
gamescom kicks off its first year in Cologne, Germany on August 19-23, and PAX hits Seattle on September 4-6. More details about these events are coming soon.

Closed Beta Event #3 News and Schedule
Take part in the sizzling action in Aion this weekend!
The third closed beta event starts with a bang this holiday weekend on Thursday, July 2 (12:00 PM PT, 9:00 PM CEST, 8:00 PM BST) and ends Monday, July 6 (12:00 PM PT, 9:00 PM CEST, 8:00 PM BST).
For this event, it’s time to choose where your loyalties lie in the explosive war for Atreia. Dedicated testers will focus on the first 20 levels of both the Elyos and Asmodians, including brand new localized content for both factions.
Are you playing in this weekend’s hottest event? Drop by the official beta forums beginning on July 1 at 8:00 AM PST to share your experiences while testing Aion.
Thanks to the continued diligence from the first two closed beta events, the third event includes several updates and changes in the game content:
- Added GameGuard beta file for Windows 7; please note this file is still in testing and is not yet an official public release
- Added a new full installer (found on FilePlanet)
- Added new launch quality content for the following zones:
- Poeta
- Verteron
- Altgard
- Morheim
- Various text changes that fixed broken quests and trainers
- Various text changes that fixed minor grammatical errors in quests and NPC dialogues
Whatever you do - do not forget that even more closed beta events are coming your way this summer!

Aion launch version
One of the most frequent questions the Aion team has heard from players during the beta events is, “What version is the North America and Europe game launching with?” We’re happy to announce today that Aion is planned to release with version 1.5, the third major game update, bringing the content as up to date as possible. The Aion team strives to keep the game content consistent between territories, and releasing with this game version brings us one step closer to this goal.

Closed Beta #3 Coming Soon!
The next Aion closed beta event is coming your way on July 2-6, 2009. Enjoy a long weekend of fun in Atreia as testing concentrates on first 20 levels of the Elyos and Asmodians. Choose your side and tell us all about your escapades in Elysium and Asmodae in this exciting event.
We thank all of our players in our first two closed beta events. Your feedback has been invaluable!
For this event, participants must have a full-access beta key or have received an invitation for the third closed beta event specifically. (Single event keys for the first two beta events are no longer valid.)

Closed Beta Event #2 ends â Looking ahead
The second beta event opened its grand portal to testers 8 pm BST June 19th – last Friday. A big thank you to our players for another fantastic weekend of gameplay and feedback! Once again we will be taking down the beta boards in preparation for our next event. Our beta boards will be closing today at 5PM PST.
We are aware that many users experienced log-in problems on the beta forums last weekend; we have successfully located the cause and have resolved this issue in preparation for our next event.
Our next beta event begins on Thursday, July 2nd 8:00 PM BST. Stay tuned for details!
There will be key giveaways from various websites and competitions via our Twitter feeds (@aion_ayase, @aion_amboss, @aion_liv and @aion_xaen). In other words - you will definitely want to stay tuned to find out more if you are interested in being a part of our future Beta events.

Aion Launches This September!
Your adventures in Aion begin this September! NCsoft is proud to announce that Aion launches in North America on September 22, 2009 and makes its official debut in Europe starting September 25, 2009.
Not only can you find the game at your favorite retail store, Aion will also be available as a digital download at NCsoft.com, Direct2Drive, and also through Steam this September.
